Any Advice On Going Active Duty Army From The Reserves?

This Question From Army LPN Programs | 4 Answers

QUESTION:

Do they give you any choice at meps as to where you might get stationed or is it just what fits the needs of the army? What are the best duty stations for a single female soldier? I am a 68WM6 (medic/LPN) so imagine I could get stationed just about anywhere…

Horrible advice for u since u won’t ever use a rifle. Maybe if u were in the Corp u would but not the army. My friend go active in the army and reserve in the marine Corp trust me on that . Active causes slot of stress on people. And u don’t choose a screener looks at ur name on a computer screen and just clicks away at his mouse sending you where ever they need you. That’s the horrible truth. I know my choose was “perfer west coast” yea I didn’t know that included japan and hawai .(sry can’t spell great odviously)

You’ll go where you are sent, but sometimes they will give you a choice of 2 or 3 bases.
My brother went from Active Reserves to NG and then the NG unit was instanly handed orders for Iraq
