Are there any 68wm6 army rangers?
This Question From Army LPN Programs | 2 Answers
hello, this is my situation. I am a 68w who is currently in the m6 program. When i was in basic training my drill sgt put in a recommendation for me to go to airborne and RIP. Now i understand a regular whiskeys role in a ranger unit, but if I were to go to a ranger unit I was wondering if i would actually be able to use my LPN position in a hospital or if I would basically be used as a whiskey. I understand that as a ranger i would have time in the field and have other responsibilities, but im just looking for anyone who might be a m6 ranger or know where they normally work. Also i don’t mind not working in a hospital all the time, but i don’t want my extra training to go to waste.
I should have also added that I checked online through AKO and I have a valid reservation and start date for both airborne and RIP so I will not have a chance to get and experience in another unit first.

Get some experience first, preferably Combat, before applying for ranger school!
chances are youll just be a regular medic going to the field and training with them. ranger batalions use the same hospitals as everyone else so if your going through rip your going to be line medic. i dunno what numnuts above me is saying about ranger school but u dont need combat experience to go to that school. but something u should be warned about. bat boys work all the time. they are constantly training long hours and their pt score never falls short of a 300. it sounds like u kinda want a cush job so i hope u know what your signing up for.
