Are there any reputable LPN schools in Ormond Beach Florida or surrounding areas?

Currently I have a Nurse Aide License and am looking to further my education in Nursing, starting with LPN. Looking to relocate from Ohio to Ormond Beach Florida and would like to know of any schools where I can obtain my Associates in Applied Science.

Before you move there find out if there is a community college in the area. They will be your best bet. Most community colleges have good reputations for nursing programs and they cost a lot less than those for profit schools that advertise they can educate you to be a nurse in 18 months. Also with a degree from a community college a hospital or a doctor’s office will be much more likely to hire you. I am sure if you go to your local library they will have some reference books that will tell you where the nearest community college will be located in the area where you will be living. Finally if you ever wanted to get your BSN the credits from you community college would most likely transfer to a 4 year university or college. I hope this helps good luck with school! We always need good nurses!

I would strongly suggest you get more input before you make a move like that. The LPN’s that I talk to are finding their career options becoming more and more limited. RN with an ASN is getting to be the bare minimum nowadays; RN/BSN is more sensible.
