Are There Many Nursing Jobs (lpn) Available In Southern Colorado? What’s The Typical Wage?

This Question From Colorado LPN Programs | 3 Answers

QUESTION:

I’m thinking of relocated with my 2 teenage kids. It will be just us though and I need to know that I can find a job quickly and be able to support us on just my income. Any information/advice would be great. Thanks!

Go online and research hospitals and clinics in the cities you’re considering. I personally don’t know if Colorado hospitals routinely use LPNs so you’ll have to check job postings and find out. Investigate Sub-Acute Care centers, rehabs and long-term care. For money, run a search for “average LPN salary by state”. You’ll hit paydirt.
Or you can hook up with a registry. Some of them network with registries in other states. Don’t forget to contact the Colorado State Board of Nursing in advance to find out what the licensing requirements are.

I’m not sure about colorado specifically, but I know there is a national nursing shortage. You may have to start off working strange hospital hours, or in nursing home, but there will almost certainly be a job of some sort available for you. Also, check with local doctors, schools, health department, etc
