Could you live in a house, apartment, etc.
I know it depends on where you’re working.
So where do you have to work to live on that?

    Yes you could, well, not at the doctors office I worked at,,,the starting pay for LPN’s was only like $9.00/hour!!! But that is the very LOW end of the spectum. I’d say average pay for an LPN starting out is $14.00/hr. You can certainly live on 14/hr but you will have to be somewhat frugal. If you work at a nursing home you will make a lot more than $14./hr.

    Of course you can live off of that, and do pretty well for yourself if you live within your income. The range for an LPN is between $30,000-$45,000 annually. Honestly, I make less than $20,000 annually right now and I have one son and I own my own home and have only the mortgage and some current student loans as debt. I have no credit card debt and I own my car outright. I pay for all of the necessities just fine and some extras, but we live within our means.

    I have a friend in a LPN program, it interested her because the program was 12 months and then later on, it only takes another 12 months to get her RN (it’s a bridge program). Anyways, she told me a nurse recruiter told her starting off, she’d make $18.50-$20 an hour, depending on where she worked.
