Nursing is a REGULATED and LICENSED profession. Therefore, the only credible, reliable, authoritative entity from which one should be seeking such answers is the NURSING BOARD in the state in which one plans to be licensed. Period.
Your state’s nursing board has a web site. On it, you will find every last detail that you need to know in order to become an LPN in your state…
…including either a list of schools the credentials from which your state’s nursing board will accept as requisite to sit for the state LPN exam. Or, if there’s not a school list, then there will be a description of the requirements which the school must meet in order for its credential to be acceptable as requisite to sit for your state’s LPN exam.
I haven’t looked at (though I still advise that you do) your state’s nursing board’s web site, but I’ll bet that whatever school you attend must be accredited by an agency approved by the US Department of Education (USDE) and/or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)…
…and, if so, then you may quite likely look-up all accredited nursing programs (both of the LPN/LVN type, and of the RN type) in Florida by using the CHEA database at:http://www.chea.org/search
Just click, first, that you accept the terms; then, on the next page, scroll down to the “Search for Accredited Programs” section; then specify “Nursing” in the first field, then “Florida” in the next, then “United States” in the next; then “Any accreditor” in the last field.
I just did it, and some 51 programs result… about a half dozen of which are in Orlando, proper… with another several relatively nearby.
However, YOU MUST FIRST SEE WHAT YOUR STATE’s NURSING BOARD HAS TO SAY ABOUT IT. It, and it, alone, is your one and only authoritative source. TRUST NO ONE ELSE! No one!
Hope that helps.
