Does anyone have any information related to nursing in Ohio?
This Question From Ohio LPN Programs | 1 Answer
I am in high school currently involved in a mentorship program where I have to write a research paper on the profession I am interested in, nursing. I live in Ohio, I know that sometimes qualifications differ between the states. I need to know the different educational requirments, such as how long you need to go to college for each degree (LPN, RPN, NP) and what the highest job in nursing. I also need to be able to tell the differences between them and what each entails for one to do on the worksite. I need to know an approximate pay range and starting rates. I need to know the benefits that the employees have. If one might need a special license or certificate, what other jobs could one qualify for with their experience, how secure it is, advancement details, high school courses that could prepare one for a job like this, any of this information would be very helpful. If you have an input as to your likes and dislikes of the job I could also use that. Thanks in advance

Since this is a research paper, the best thing for you to do is to find cite-able research on the subject. Search colleges in your state that offer nursing programs (RN, BSN and MSN-NP). Search for vocational schools that offer LPN. The literature that they will provide you spells out prerequisites and program requirements that will lead to completion and licensure. Additionally, your states licensing office.committee can offer you requirements for licensure in your respective state.
