Does anyone know where I can get an Associates of Nursing degree without having to be an LPN/LVN first?

I want to become a nurse. I’m the military right now and plan to get out soon. I’ve been looking for online nursing schools and distance learning programs and local colleges but they all so far seem to want a license in nursing as a prerequisite. Is there any place I can get my Associates in Nursing without being licensed?

  1. You don’t have to get your LPN first. You can go straight to an Associates program but you cannot do it online.Nursing involves learning hands on skills. You cannot do that sitting at a computer. You have to participate in skills labs and work in clinical settings to gain practical experience. There are no nursing programs except for bridging programs thayou can do online. How would you figure you could learn to give injections and insert catheters on the computer?
