Entry level LPN ready to apply for nursing jobs. Is it going to be hard to find one?

I have my resume ready and I recently graduated as an LPN. I am not picky, I’m applying at nursing homes, a mental institution and a jail. Is the job market tight for LPN’s right now? How long do you think it should take to find a job?

  1. For many people the job market IS tight. For a nurse, however, you should have no trouble finding a job. I am a nurse also and we belong to one of the few careers that has not been widely affected by the poor economy. I’ll grant that, some places may have tightened their budgets a bit, But you shouldn’t have any issues. That being said I am not sure what it like in the area where you are looking, but I you shouldn’t have any issues. Good luck to you.
