You can get a job as a civilian in any military hospital.
The Army does have LPN's,
But they are medics with special training.
Go talk to a recruiter.

in order to be a Nurse, you MUST have a BSN. a 2 or 3 year degree will not be sufficient. you can enlist, but you would NOT be a an LPN, you would be a medic( if indeed you can get that job).
you would still be required to go through the Branche's medical training for medic.

The military doesn't have any job assignments as an LPN. Even EMTs who join are required to go through their branch's training for assignment as a medic or hospital corpsman.
However, military treatment facilities (hospitals and clinics) do employ LPNs. Application and hiring is done through the Federal Civil Service personnel offices. They are not "contract" employees, but are Federal civil servants. You can look under "U.S. Government" in your local white pages phone book to get the location and phone number of the personnel office serving your area.

This is what Army Nursing Corps teaches in 16 weeks:
Critical Care Nursing Course
Operating Room Nursing Course
Psychiatric/ Mental Health Nursing Course
Obstetrical/Gynecological Nursing Course
I know as an LPN, you didn't learn about critical care, operating, and psychiatric/mental health nursing. You have the fundamentals, basics, Ped's and OB down great!! You will attend college as a full-time student while on Active Duty to complete a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). You will also need to complete the NCLEX-RN examine. You have a GREAT start, but remember, sooner or later everyone will catch up to you.
