How do i go through nursing school online?

This Question From Ohio LPN Programs | 3 Answers

Hi!
I just graduated high school and have wanted to be a nurse for awhile. I committed to NKU a month ago but feel as if it may not be the best for me and wanted to do an online schooling instead. I ahve been searching around all i can find is LPN to BSN or RN to BSN programs. How do I go through the whole entire process? Can someone help me please.
If it helps, I live in Ohio, around the cincinnati area.
Thank you!

You’re not going to be able to complete an RN program, or any type of nursing degree, online. You have to get practical hands-on application at your school and then at clinical sites to help you gain experience. You have to complete a certain # of hours to graduate. So you’ll either need to decide on a different career path or forget the online school idea.

NO you can’t become a nurse online if you do not have a LPN or RN degree already!
Nurses have to have hands on training (as well as classroom lectures). Nursing students also do rounds in hospitals to get hands on experience. You can’t do it online only.
You must apply to a community college or 4 year college that offers an RN program.

You don’t. There is no legit nursing school that is completely online. Bridging programs are something else because you already have some sort of nursing license (LPN or RN).

Besides, even if there were, I can’t imagine learning all of the hands on work anywhere but a classroom.

Also, to be eligible to take the NCLEX, you have to have a certain amount of hours, both classroom and clinical.
