How Much Is The Application Fee For Nclex?

This Question From LPN Nursing NCLEX | 2 Answers

I want to help my boyfriend. We all know that we are in the financial crisis. I live in Norway so I dont have any idea how much is the cost and everything. How much is the application fee for NCLEX LPN in New Jersey? And how long will he wait for his schedule after he paid for the application? Thank you!

    Matriska:
The testing fee for the NCLEX-PN exam (yes, that’s the one for LPN candidates) is $200 USD
Once your boyfriend submits his application, the testing agency will contact his state board of nursing in order to request an “Authorization to Test” (ATT). That ATT certificate will be sent to him within 2 weeks of when NCLEX receives his application.
The ATT certificate will provide your boyfriend with an expiration date by which he must take the exam. The deadline is usually within 90 days of the day that the ATT is created. This so called “validity period” can not be extended – for any reason. If he doesn’t take the exam during his eligibility period, the ATT expires, and he has to begin the process of applying from scratch. That would mean paying the $200 again.
The NCLEX is administered by computer – your boyfriend can call up a nearby testing center and schedule an appointment to take it at any convenient time. The company recommends that the test taker plan for a test that may take as long as 5 hours to complete. Because of the possibility that the test center may be very busy when he wants to test, they recommend that he call as soon as he receives his ATT certificate, and not wait until the last minute to set up an appointment.
The organization promises that all first-time test takers are guaranteed to be offered a testing date within 30 days of calling.
All of this information is contained in this document, the 2009 NCLEX Candidate Bulletin. There’s a lot more to know – things like – what your boyfriend will need to bring to the testing center (identification, etc), and how he should prepare for the test.

I hope that answers all your questions! Good luck to you and your boyfriend!

    I just took the NCLEX-PN 2 days ago here’s the fee’s
    $200 for the NCLEX test
    $35 for a work permit
    $175 for License
If he fails he has to repay the $200 dollars to take the NCLEX again and work permit would become null after 7 days from the date of failure, meaning he could no longer work as a GPN (Graduate Practical Nurse) until waiting 45 days and passing the NCLEX. I paid for my application in June and received my ATT in August.
