I Have An Associates In Business Administration, I Want To Change Careers And Become A Nurse Rn Or Lpn ?
This Question From LPN Nursing Careers | 2 Answers
Funny thing, I have an Associates in Fire Science and I’m working on m A.A. in Business Administration with the transfer option to a four year college in California. Why? Because it is too hard to get a full-time Firefighting gig where I live if you are white. With the budget cuts, departments aren’t hiring and I figure you can always do something with a business degree. Nursing is a good field that is experiencing tremendous growth and will for the next 10-15 years as old nurses retire simultaneous with the shortage that exists now plus the fact that folks are living longer and you can’t go wrong. Did you consider combining the two? Nurse administrators make good money. Look up the salaries on Google. That way you aren’t wasting your Associates in Biz Admin. Good Luck!

Having an Associates Degree in Business Administration may look good on your resume, but it’s ‘apples & oranges!’
if you wish to become an RN or LPN, you’re going to have to start all over, but it would be worth it, as most of the healthcare job vacancies I see are for RN’s, LPN’s, CNA’s, etc.
Good luck!
So what is the question?
