If Michigan was a compact state then you could work immediately. You would need to check with the state you are trying to move to for the policy for getting licensed in that state. In some cases you may have to retest, or submit information on your PN program.
Brianna is right, each state has it’s own licensing board. You will have to take a brush up course for what ever state you go to, and take their test and wait for the results.

Each state requires you to take your boards in that state. Doesn’t matter how long you live there. It’s the same for many professions.
