I’m From Arkansas And Would Like To Become A Neonatal Nurse..?
This Question From Arkansas LPN Programs | 2 Answers
Hey everyone, I’m from central Arkansas and interested in becoming a neonatal nurse. I’m 17 years old, and I don’t really have money for school. I’ve graduated, and I’m looking for a way to get my nursing degree.
I know one hospital offers schooling, and if you sign a 2 year contract and pay for your books, you dont pay for school, but that’s just for being an RN.
I KNOW i want to go into the nursing field and my top 3 choices are in this order:
Neonatal nurse
RN
LPN
what im looking for really is advice on schooling, or anything really, since I dont know where to start!
Thanks!

A neonatal nurse IS an rn or lpn.
Neonatal is more of a job description rather than an actual occupation you go to school for. Example: When you look up Neonatal Nurse in the Occupational Outlook Handbook it refers you to “Registered Nurse”. Here is the info about this occupation. It will describe in more detail about the schooling required, salary and job outlook.http://www.bls.gov/oco/ocos083.htm
ok become an RN first, save up money to go to school. that’s what i would do, just take all your chances to become any type of nurse.
P.S. i was born in Little Rock, Arkansas.
