Is LPN Course/Program, ‘On Line’, accepted, or’credible’ in SouthWestern, Ohio?
This Question From Ohio LPN Programs | 3 Answers
Please name a credible ‘On Line’ LPN Program. Cost is not a problem at present but I’ve got the time, and a most sincere desire. I just don’t want to take on, for me , such a hard task. I already have a Associates degree In Science, a recent RMA. Thankyou

Just be careful when looking into online courses. They should be offered by a community college and give you a creditable degree that is regonized by the state you reside in. A degree is meaningless if the institution that provides them is a unaccreditated institution. For example, in WA there is a “college” that allowed student pass/fail grades instead of letter grades and G.P.As, unfortuentley for them the state almost took away their accreditation and all students who attended that college would have meaningless degrees.
Besides, would you want a LPN helping you in a medical setting that took all the classes online and had no hands on experience? Go to a community college or university and earn a LPN degree you can be proud of.
Great, the next fad will be to become a MD online.
Do us all a favor and get into a hands on program. How are you going to learn to take blood or start an IV online?
You may be able to learn how to change bedpans online.
No credible hospital is going to hire an LPN who “paid” for their degree online.
Here is a list of the accredited LPN programs accepted by the Board of Nursing in Ohio:

I do not see any online programs, nor have I ever heard any for entry level LPN. Plenty of bridge programs for LPN-RN but not the initial licensure.
Not positive what an RMA is – is that a Medical Assistant? Unfortunately there are no bridge programs for MAs to LPNs as medical assistants are not nurses therefore their training is entirely different. I have heard a few bitter MAs state they are “as good as nurses” and I assure you they are not.
In addition, I would be concerned about the validity of any online licensing for someone who has not been a nurse as nursing requires a lot of clinical time in the hospital and health care setting performing nursing duties and interventions. I don’t it’s possible to get adequate experience in an online program as your first experience as a nurse!
