Lpn To Rn To Nurse Practioner?

what is involved in goin from LPN to RN education and experience wise,also if you know anything about going from an E-5 LPN in the ARMY to an RN 2nd LT or a W1 PA that would be doubly helpful

    I know three women who are in the process of going from LPN to RN. The one who is somewhat ahead in her classes says it significantly easier going from LPN to RN that it was getting the LPN in the first place.

    RN is a four year degree, and PA and NP are both six year degrees. You should really bone up on your math and science skills. To make yourself eleigable and a great candidate for either program, you should do minimally, Bio I & II, Chem I & II, Micro Bio, A & P, Calculus, Physics, Intor to Sociology, along with all of the labs for those science courses.
    Guessing you’re probably an E-5 over 5, and you’d be coming back as a 2nd Lt, pulling about $1,300-$1,500 a month not to include any pro pay or anything. On the outside, a starting PN or PA (dependent upon where you live and work) you could feesibly expect close to $60-$90,000 a year.

    Well, RN isn’t ALWAYS a 4 year degree…there are bachelors degree nurses which are 4 years…then theres diploma nurses (not many of them around anymore) which take about 3 years. Then there’s Associate degree RN’s with take 2 years……Sometimes you can tests out of some classes to enable you to finish degrees sooner…just depends on the college.
