PJC or Virginia College?
This Question From Florida LPN Programs | 1 Answer
QUESTION:
I am looking into both of their practical nursing programs and I am having trouble deciding on which one. The cost doesn’t matter because I have the GI bill which will cover it, so that’s not part of the problem. It seems to me that both are pretty much equal but Virginia college has more credits and a longer time, 81 credits and 18 months. PJC is only a year with 45. Both are approved by the Florida board of nursing and are accredited nationally. I am hoping to one day do a bridge program into RN or possibly BSN, but for now sticking with the LPN. I just don’t know which school to choose! I don’t want one that isn’t going to teach me what I need to learn, and well let’s face it, there is no way I will know until I go! So if anyone has any experience with these two schools or know someone that does please help! Thank you!

LPN programs are generally one year. Anything longer than that go directly for your ASN (2 years for RN).
