Question About Army Benefits…?
This Question From Army LPN Programs | 4 Answers
I am thinking about entering the Army. I am an LPN with several years ER/critical care experience and I wanted to know what I might be able to expect benefit wise. All I can find on the Army’s website were answers for RNs. While enlisted I would definitely continue my education and become an RN. I was just wondering what I could do with my current license. Thanks for looking!

While I give you kudos on your license, I am afraid it isn’t going to mean a whole bunch. You will still need to do all the training that the Army requires, but you will have a boost in experience and knowledge that will allow you to stand out during your training.
Aside from the training aspect of it, the Army will help you get more college courses to achieve your goal. You may be able to get into a commissioning program and become an officer.
Good luck.
What you could do is go through 68WM6 school, which is the army LPN. You’d go through 68W school, which is a medic, and then after completing that you’ll go to M6 school which is a year long I believe. I don’t know how it’ll work if you have your license or not, but that’s what I was going to do and I failed a part of 68W school after completing my NREMT-B.
You may qualify for entry under the Civilian Acquired Skills Program (CASP) for 91C. Check the below websites for more info:http://usmilitary.about.com/od/armyjoin/…http://usmilitary.about.com/library/mili…
