What are my options for nursing schools in san diego?
This Question From LPN Nursing Schools | 1 Answer
For San DIego area I want to know what my options are for a BSN in nursing or possibly an ADN or LPN and if the offer a LPN to BSN program. Also, I was wondering if there are any schools that I definately should avoid….aka not accreditted or really respected in the nursing community

First of all, don’t even CONSIDER anything less than an RN. Please. Just get ADN or LPN out of your mind. Go straight for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), then sit for the NCLEX, then get your RN license. Seriously…
…er… I mean, of course, unless you’d LIKE to do all the things that RN’s don’t like doing; or unless you LIKE permanent bed pan duty as a career.
Just get the RN and stop screwing around.
That said, here are ACCREDITED (and that’s important) San Diego County schools offering LPN, ADN and/or RN, depending on the school:
* Point Loma Nazarene University
* San Diego City College
* San Diego State University
* University of San Diego
* Grossmont College
* Palomar College
* Southwestern College
* National University
Hope that helps.
