  1. Brazilian Barbie™ says:

… You have a nursing program at your High school? that’s different! I was always under the impression you had to go to college to obtain that.

Sort of hard to answer the question when you don’t say where you live or where you’re interested in studying.

If you’re in Ontario, Canada. I’d say McMaster University. It is a well known health science school with a nursing program known all over the world.

  2. First you have to decide on what you feel qualifies a school as best. Best may mean highest percentage of graduates passing liscensure exams on their first try or it may mean most conveniently located.

The US News magazine has a list of the best Nursing schools as of 2007 and rank according to this:
Each year, U.S. News ranks professional-school programs in business, education, engineering, law, and medicine. These rankings are based on two types of data: expert opinions about program quality and statistical indicators that measure the quality of a school’s faculty, research, and students. These data come from surveys of more than 1,200 programs and some 11,000 academics and professionals that were conducted in fall 2008.

You should also decide where you would like to attend and search
http://allnurses.com/ they have forums with discussions on specific schools for specific reasons! This site is also really useful once you are in nursing school for all sorts of questions and answers.

    Good luck!

  3. You don’t have to get both degrees, you just bridge from LPN to BSN.
