LPN’s are license nurses, they earn way more money than medical assistant. Medical assistants are just assistants to the doctor while, a LPN is a nurse who can be in charge of CNA’s and even medical asstnts. In here California LPN’s make about $18 an hour and medical assistants make about $8.50 hour.

An LPN is a nurse and a medical assistant is a much more limited position. LPNs are paid for being an LPN, not by where their degree comes from. Medical assistants are supervised by nurses and handle more administrative matters

Medical Assistants Get Paid Less, LPNs Get Paid More, You Have To Have To Go To A Vocational For Both Medical Assisting Take About 9 Months And LPN Takes Anywhere From 11-16 Months. And You Have To Take The State Board For LPN, I Think You Have To Take A Exam For The Medical Assisting Certification. LPNs Can Work Anywhere, While Medical Assistants Are Usually Limited To A Physician’s Office.
