When I Become An Lpn In Canada, Can I Still Become An Rn In The Us?

This Question From Washington LPN Programs | 3 Answers

I live in Canada and I’m going into grade 11. After high school, I want to become a Licensed Practical Nurse, then become a Registered Nurse.
I’d really like to move to Seattle, Washington. If I go to college here in Canada to become an LPN, then move to the US after, will I be able to become an RN there if I take a test or go to college?

You will probably have to get an equivalency or check with the school that you’re looking at going to, as to whether they do this.

You might need to acquire a license.
I know, for example, RN’s in Ontario can’t operate in Quebec unless they acquire a license.
I’m sure you’ll find a definite answer doing a bit of research.

I believe so, but you might have to acquire a license first.
