With nursing jobs so scarce, I’m considering becoming a nurse somewhere foreign for a change of pace……?

With nursing jobs so scarce, I’m considering becoming a nurse somewhere foreign for a change of pace. I see tragedies like Haiti where there is a shortage of qualified nursing professionals that are desperately needed, at the same time nurses are being laid off by U.S companies. Is there any resources for finding nursing jobs overseas for a qualified RN or LPN ?

Absolutely there are resources for nursing professionals who would like to work overseas. In fact there is one job board that specializes in placing nurses world wide. To my knowledge it is the only site out there for nursing with global presence. I have had many friends use http://www.nursingemploymentfinder.com/ to get connected with employers. The site is relatively new but have been making tremendous progress in beefing up their utility. Nursing is still in demand you just have to be know where to look for the jobs.
